The latest version of Android Pay, Android’s mobile wallet, is rolling out to compatible devices via the Google Play store. It’s rumored that one of the updates will be a map that identifies a user’s location and lets them know stores in the area that accept Android Pay, according to an analysis of the update’s code fromXDA Developers.
That could help drive up Android Pay volume. Consumers who join the mobile payments ecosystem fall into three buckets from our viewpoint: disengaged users, regular users, and super users, who will be the ones driving payment volume.
