In preparation for the test operations of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line, a significant milestone has been reached with the completion of a comprehensive training program. Operational staff, tasked with the smooth running of the future rail service, underwent six weeks of rigorous training at the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) Training School. This training was designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate the new rail system efficiently and safely.Following the comprehensive training at NRC, the staff were further educated on Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority’s (LAMATA) quality management system (QMS). Mr. Taiwo-Ojo Francis, Head of MIS at LAMATA, spearheaded the training, which focused on the principles of QMS and their practical application in everyday operations. With a series of tests and drills, the program reinforced the importance of QMS in providing high-quality service to patrons of the Red Line.
