Because modern TV shows and movies glorify startup companies, all too often I have come across misconceptions when running my investment firm. “Entrepreneur” doesn’t mean I am the CEO of a $1 billion software company, and “raising capital” isn’t done by standing in front of a group of sharks while they fight over who is going to write a $1 million check for your idea.
