How Leaders Can Balance Budget And Performance When Assessing Integrated Audiovisual Installations

In 2023, the audiovisual (AV) industry surged to a staggering $307 billion. With global teams collaborating, the need for robust AV solutions is clear. Effective communication is critical for productivity, after all.

However, finding the right AV technology is a challenge, and I’ve noticed companies wavering between cheap and high-end systems during my time in the industry. Cheap AV systems often suffer from poor sound and video due to subpar components. They can be cumbersome with excessive cables, might not support all devices and often have a short lifespan. On the other hand, splurging on expensive systems isn’t always wise. For instance, while automatic room-correction technology promises to enhance audio by adjusting for room acoustics, its implementation isn’t always beneficial. Even advanced room-correction features can sometimes misinterpret room elements, leading to undesired sound outcomes.
